Pamela J. Marshall (b.1954) studied composition at Eastman and Yale Schools of Music. She has written for the Master Singers of Lexington, MA, Eastman Horn Choir, Lowell Chamber Orchestra, Triad Choral Collective, International Horn Society, South Beach Chamber Ensemble of Miami, FL, Green Mountain Youth Symphony, Assabet Valley Mastersingers, and several Spindrift Commissioning Guild projects.
She has been a composer-conductor member of Triad Boston’s Choral Collective, and did video production for Triad’s pandemic-time online concerts. She sang in the Concord Women’s Chorus before the pandemic.
In Lexington, Massachusetts, Marshall played horn for many years in local orchestras, led improv workshops, and recorded chamber music and nature soundscapes. Her email course “20 Improv Ideas for Daily Music Practice” invites classical musicians to improvise with abandon. Ravello Records released a CD of her chamber music titled “Through the Mist” in 2015. Her nature soundscapes and electroacoustic tracks are on Bandcamp. Spindrift Music Company publishes her music. She moved to Portugal in 2023.
