Mason McCool is an American composer and aspiring choral music educator. His works have received national and international acclaim, and he has had works premiered by ensembles such as The University of Alabama University Singers (“Psalm 23”), No Strings Attached (“Beyond the Sea,” “For Good,” “Rivers and Roads”), and the Old School Hymnsingers (’“Zion’s Song”). He regularly composes for choirs, orchestras, screendances, and a cappella groups.

McCool holds a B.M in Music Composition and a B.A. in French from The University of Alabama, and he is currently pursuing a Master’s of Music Education (Choral) from the University of Colorado Boulder. His teachers include Morgan Luttig, Scott AuCoin, Tyler Bradley Walker, Amir Zaheri, and Samantha Wolf (University of Alabama). In addition to being a student of choral music, Mason is also a well-known wedding and event pianist across the Southeastern United States. He currently resides in Broomfield, Colorado.
