linda-kachelmeier

Linda Kachelmeier (b. 1965) is a composer, conductor and professional singer in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her music has been described as having “luscious counterpoint, deliberate dissonances and assertive vocal interaction.”

She has been the recipient of the Jerome Composers Commissioning Program for Emerging Composers in both 2006 and 2010, along with being chosen for two Faith Partners residencies in 2009 and 2012 through the American Composers Forum.

In 2011, Kachelmeier was awarded a Minnesota Regional Arts Council “Next Step” grant to write a song cycle based on the poems of Minnesota poet Arthur Upson.
