Éna Brennan (b. 1991) is of Irish and Danish nationality, born and raised in Brussels, Belgium. She received an entrance scholarship from Trinity College Dublin to complete a B.A. Two Subject Moderatorship in Music and Theater Studies and has recently completed the Master of Philosophy in Music Composition in TCD.

She has been heavily involved in various musical ensembles in college throughout her four years as an undergrad, such as the Campanile Consort, the Node Ensemble, Trinity Singers and Trinity Orchestra. Apart from being an active performer in these ensembles, she has also had works performed and recorded by them.

Brennan bases her instrumentation on the musicians she knows and the resources available to her. She is particularly interested in text setting, especially that of French poetry and literature. Some of her recent works have been based on texts by Charles Baudelaire, W.B. Yeats and Samuel Beckett.

Aside from music composition, Brennan is an avid fan of illustration and graphic design. She has created promotional artwork for many of the ensembles she has been involved in and was Art Director of Trinity News in 2012. She also recently worked in the design team at the Dublin Web Summit, and is co-founder of SEE HEAR, a multidisciplinary arts event based in Dublin.
