Daniel Mehdizadeh is a Canadian composer, pianist, and teacher. Having completed his Masters in Composition, he has recently been involved in festival series including the Chamber Players of Canada and Music & Beyond. His pieces have been performed in Canada, Italy, and Serbia as well as upcoming performances in Belgium, The Netherlands, and Chile. Recent and upcoming commissions include Canadian and international commissions by Louis Trépanier, Canadian Guitar Quartet (Canada), Marc Grauwels (Belgium), Thorwald Jørgensen (The Netherlands), and Jean Desmarais (Canada). He is currently a member of SOCAN, ONMC and the Canadian League of Composers.

Mehdizadeh’s String Quintet received its world premiere by the Chamber Players of Canada, at which time he was interviewed as a guest composer on CBC radio and received two post-concert reviews in the Ottawa Citizen. His Flute Sonata is published by Laura Pettigrew Publications, a copy of which resides in the Adkins-Chiti Foundation in Rome. In addition to these chamber works, larger works include Symphony No. 1 for full orchestra.
