Giuseppe Di Bianco has emerged in recent years as one of the most compelling Italian choral composers of his generation. He holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Piano, Composition, Choral conducting, and Music Didactics from “S. Pietro a Majella” Conservatory of Naples, graduating summa cum laude in Foreign Languages and Modern Literature. His training include piano studies with György Sándor, compositional studies under Enrico Buondonno (a pupil of Licinio Refice), advanced courses at Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena and Scuola di Musica of Fiesole (Florence) with Giacomo Manzoni, Salvatore Sciarrino, Luis de Pablo, Peter Maxwell Davies.

Active as a pianist, teacher, and composer, with a particular interest in choral composition, he has gained international recognition winning first prizes in many composition competitions, including 1st prize at the 13th International Trophy of Choral Composition Competition “Seghizzi” (I),” and 5th International “Choir Laboratory, XXI Century” Competition of St. Petersburg, RU.

His choral music has been performed in Italy and abroad (Vatican City, France, Germany, Denmark, Latvia, Slovenia, The Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Philippines, Russia, Japan, and the United States) and included in the main Festivals and choral competitions: “Guido d’Arezzo” (Arezzo, IT), “Vittorio Veneto” (IT), MITO SettembreMusica Festival (Milan-Turin), “J. Gallus” - Maribor (SL); Rainbow St. Petersburg Choir Festival (RU), International Krakow Choir Festival “Cracovia Cantans” (P), etc.

He has been invited to serve as a guest composer at the University of North Carolina and at the “Fine Arts and Music” University of Aichi (Japan). In 2013 Di Bianco was chosen for the “Invisible Cities Project,” an international composition project inspired by Italo Calvino’s book “The Invisible Cities”. His choral compositions are published by Federcoritrentino and FENIARCO Ed. (Italy); by Композитор Publishing House, St. Petersburg.

He is currently a member of the National Artistic Commission of FENIARCO (Italian National Federation of Regional Choral Associations).
