Denice Rippentrop

Songwriting has become a new and exciting musical adventure for Denice Rippentrop. She has composed sacred and secular choral music for the past 20 years with great success. She has had premieres throughout the United States as well as Europe.

The work of Michele L. Denz, The Day My Soul Cried, created the opportunity for Denice Rippentrop to begin her songwriting career. Songwriting has become her passion because of this experience. The discipline, the structure, and challenge of songwriting utterly fascinates her. You Are Love to Me was honorable mention at the Dallas Songwriters Association’s Songwriting contest. You Are Love to Me, All Must Be Free, and The Day My Soul Cried have all been forwarded by TAXI to record companies this past year. TAXI is the world’s leading independent A & B Company located in Calabasas, CA. This has given her the encouragement to continue on her songwriting path.

Justin Wilde of Los Angeles, CA, picked up Christmas Angels. Wild is a well-known music publisher of Christmas music worldwide. He has been in the business of over 25 years. He intends to market Christmas Angels to some well known classical/pop recording artists this year.

Rippentrop has a music education degree from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion, SD, and a MALS degree form Hamline University, St. Paul, MN. For her synthesis, she composed eleven choral compositions to the texts of Amy Carmichael. She was presented the Best Synthesis Award from Hamline University upon graduation. Rippentrop continued her study of composition at the University of Minnesota obtaining over 60 graduate credits. She studied composition with Libby Larsen for over 15 years.
